Historic AUDIO ARTS Recording Studio was erected in this 100 year old building that for most of its life had been home to Evan’s Forbes Farm general store. The repairs and e x Cztensive conversion process was initially undertaken in 1979 and completed in 1988.
Current efforts are underway to increase square footage by 1/3 and expand control room X 3.
The recommissioning of a modified refurbished 24 track multitrack may raise some eyebrows, but then, the ORIGiINAL AUDIO ARTS CORP always did.

Special Note: The original recording was made live to 2 track open reel and served as the source master tape used for the mastered radio show production posts. The source tape was unmixed, unsweetened and stored in our vault on pancake hubs. After making numerous attempts to locate one of several broadcast masters used for the live Simu sync broadcast some 40 years ago, and cognizant that should I get lucky enough to locate one I would still have to begin the arduous task of tape restoration. I gave up my search.
A second possibility was that we had provided free high-quality cassette dubs to each member of each band that performed for the show for their approval but none of the members of Lightnin's band could locate their copy. Knowing that by now our vaulted unmixed master would also be suffering from "sticky shed syndrome" I set about pursuing a different plan.
First, I restored the original master recorder (on which the unmixed master tape was originally recorded). Next, after consulting several fellow old-time engineers for advice on baking (literally oven baking} the Ampex 456 tape stock I began the tedious task of baking those tapes to reseat the backing, hoping for one pass for playback during a transfer. And here is a sample of the results following remixing and remastering.

Chestley Taylor did lead vocals on this song he was the rhythm guitarist not the drummer. He also wrote the song . The original Southern Touch Band was from Mount Olive area. The one from Kinston came later after the original band stopped playing. The original Southern Touch did Saturday Night Party girl. It was composed of Chestley Taylor vocals and rhythm guitarist, Steve Wiggins vocals and lead guitarist,Anthony Scott vocals and drummer, the late Robert Earl Knowles vocals and keyboards and the late Danny Baker vocals and bass player.
